Cutout Boy

Cutout Boy (alternately, The Red Telephone), a piece that aims to capture the feeling of loss and depersonalization. In this piece, I challenged myself to focus on rendering patterns--that chair alone must've taken up 30% of my time! This piece was somewhat experimental for me in the use of shadow shapes throughout the composition and the slightly off-kilter perspective, aiming for a result that is uncanny yet familiar.
